Top night in Tønsberg

We took the Violator Show to Norway last Saturday and we’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who came to make it such a memorable night. Some people drove over 7 hours to see us and we’re proud to have given them such an good show.

It was our third year in the charming town of Tønsberg and we were bowled over by the love and support shown for us. We were in a much bigger venue than previous years and honoured to share the stage with Jonas Thorell, who joined us for a special rendition of A Question of Time in our post-Violator ‘hits’ set.

We’d like to thank everyone involved in making the gig happen, especially Børre, Jan, Henning (and the crew). See you next time!

Violator Show (London)

Firstly, we’d like to say a massive, huge, thundering THANK YOU to everyone who came to see us at the O2 Academy in Islington last Saturday for the special Violator Anniversary Show. It was a phenomenal night for us and the feedback so far has been electric. We’re glad we could do such a seminal album justice.

We pulled in a few favours from some very talented friends of our and got the gig shot and filmed, so we will have some videos to tempt and tease you with.

Special thanks also go to the venue and to the chaps at Feeling Gloomy who helped us get into the big room at the O2. It was an honour to play such an illustrious stage.

Next stop: the Violator Show goes to Norway. But in the meantime, here are a couple of photos from the gig. Photo credits go to our very talented friend Nigel Jepson:

Thank you Bedford

Last Saturday we performed at Bedford Esquires for the 6th consecutive year… and what an Easter Treat it turned out to be! Bedford has always been one of the highlights of our gig calendar with a fun, energetic crowd – and this was no exception.

Thank you to everyone who came along (and there were a lot of you), both old faces and new: the energy in the room was palpable. We were especially chuffed as we have our Violator Anniversary Gig at the O2 Academy relatively close on 25th April. We know a lot of you will be there too, which just goes to show… you lot Just Can’t Get Enough.

We look forward to seeing you next year. In the meantime, tickets for our special Violator show are available here: http://bit.ly/violator2015

Speak and Spell Headline at Bedford

Speak and Spell are pleased to announce that we will once again be playing at Bedford Esquires. This will be our 6th consecutive year at Bedford and it’s an honour to be asked back to perform in front of such a fun crowd.

We will be headlining on Saturday 4th April 2015 at the Bedford Esquires with support from our friends Sudden Creation and PunkDisco.

Tickets only available at the door.

St Leonards on Sea Secret Gig

depeche_mode__violatorWe have to come clean…  We did a small invitation-only test gig of the Violator Show by at the Gecko bar in St Leonards.  This was to try out the show and the tracks live.

We were pleased to receive the support of our friends including the Vile Electrodes and Sarah Blackwood from Client and Dubstar. We’re also very pleased to say Alan Wilder sent his best regards too and wishes us the best for the London show.

Thanks to everyone who came to the intimate venue.

Speak and Spell Sell Out the O2 Academy!

depeche_mode__violatorFor several years now Speak and Spell have had a successful fixture at the O2 Academy in Islington. 2015 was expected to be different but we could never expect to what degree.

We are proud to announce that the Violator Show has sold out on pre-sales tickets alone. This is unprecedented for us and we’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone.

As a result, the promoters and venue have relocated the show to the main room (800 capacity) room at the same venue. This is to allow for continuing advance and door tickets.

We’re currently discussing further Violator shows, in addition to London and Oslo. Watch this space.
